Dr. Thomas R. Lovas
is the former Chief of Ophthalmology at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical
Center at Fort Gordon. He spent over twenty years in the United States
Army serving both as an Armor Officer and then a physician.
Dr. Lovas is a native of Northeast Pennsylvania. He received his undergraduate
training at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and his D.O. degree
from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lovas completed
his internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is
certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the
American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Lovas practices medical and surgical ophthalmology and specializes
in anterior segment procedures including cataract and glaucoma surgery.
He has received training in and has experience with various forms of refractive
surgeries. Dr. Lovas and his wife Cecelia have one son and four daughters.
