many years of optical experience and will provide you professional and courteous
service to see that your optical needs are met.
Our Optical Shop carries approximately 1500 frames ranging from designer frames such as Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Dior and Gucci to frames to suit the smaller budget.
We also have
sunglasses, including clip-on and magnetic sunglasses.
We now offer Maui
Jim, Costa Del Mar, Gucci, and Fendi sunglasses.
Several items of special interest are:
High index lenses - These are for the individual with strong prescriptions and thick glasses, the high index lens materials allow for thinner, lighter lenses and glasses. Ask about high index lens materials.
Crizal anti-reflective coating - Previous anti-reflective coatings tended to wear off or become ugly after a while. The new Crizal coating has solved the problem. If you want anti-reflective coating ask about Crizal.
Transitions lenses - These are plastic lenses that change tint as you go from indoors to outdoors.
"No-line" or progressive bifocals - There are over 100 bifocals on the market that are "no-line" bifocals. Obviously some are superior to others in the size of the visual area and the lack of distortion. Our opticians can advise you on the type of "no-line" or progressive bifocal which can best meet your needs and pocketbook.
Flexon frames - This is a very durable, flexible frame.
Polycarbonate lenses - This is the best lens material for protecting the eyes of children, and we feel all children should wear polycarbonate lenses.
Ultraviolet coating - The optical staff and the ophthalmologists recommend ultraviolet (UV) coating be put on your glasses to protect your eyes from ultraviolet rays which may cause cataracts and macular degeneration.
We offer rigid gas permeable lenses, daily wear
disposable soft lenses, soft toric contacts for astigmatism, colored contacts, bifocal contacts, monovision fittings and contacts for keratoconus.
If you are a contact lens wearer, and are coming to our office for the first time, we ask that you try to bring a copy of your present contact lens prescription with you. This will allow us to better determine how well your lenses fit and whether there has been any change in your prescription. If your contacts need replacing, it will also save you the cost of being refit in many instances. |
